Tournament Season

Here’s a look at what a couple of our southern courses have done this past week for their tournaments.

 

First, we have the Gunslinger Awards for Arizona’s The Gallery. They’ve ordered these the last few years, and have had a great response. They also do a great setup of their awards at the prize display table. 

For Austin Country Club, we made trophies based off the iconic Pennybacker bridge that’s in their city. It’s something unique to their location, which makes their prize custom for them. 

Desert Mountain in Arizona, wanted to give their winners something that would give the reaction of, ‘wow’.  

We know the trophy was loved, when it’s re-ordered. These bell towers trophies are well-loved and given out each year at The Bridges at Sante Fe. 

Another re-order was Anthem’s shootout award. We use to have the gun upright, but for something different, it’s lying down on a circular base.

Next part of the blog is tee markers. Tee markers will get noticed quickly by players and will add to your presentation significantly. 

 

First Tee Carts

The Amenity Carts all started with the then director of golf at Isleworth a few years ago. We thought that it was just going to be a one-off piece, but once it posted on our website, everyone else wanted it..

Napa Valley had a new concept, instead of the insulated coolers on the cart like what we usually make, their pro wanted a waste can. It’s classy and a necessity for the range. 

Here’s the dividers for their trinkets. The rest of the bed is empty for storage. 

Next, is the Yardage Tree that we made for Spanish Oak’s driving range. This photo is actually taken 3 years after we made the sign. Doesn’t it look nice? #Durability #RHIGolf

Here’s another example of how RHI products look good for years to come. The PGA West sign is 6 years old.

For driving range bag stands, we have the twisted A-frame bag stand for Indian Hills. The color that you see is called Copper Vein, which is our thickest and most durable powder coat. It’s a two coat process that’s a warm brown with black speckles (it’s beautiful). 

It was nice doing a full colored logo for The Powder Horn’s starter’s podium. We were really able to showcase their logo on this piece. 

 

We made the full order for Nemacolin Resorts the other day. These tee markers are an example of a cutout logo with a colored plate underneath the logo. Through the years, they’re going to love how durable these are. 

Here’s the Dunesgrass tee marker. This style is our ‘upright tee marker’ and it’s one of the easiest styles to touch up. It’s also one of the most ordered tee markers.

The tee marker for Golf Club of Tennesse is on it’s way to them. We bumped up the thickness on these, so there’s no bending of that flag. Again durability is our #1 concern in all of our custom products. 

 

For tournament awards, did you know that we engrave custom medals? 

These trophies went out the door last week. Here’s the perpetual for Jonathan’s Island and one of the Duel in the Desert awards for Anthem. 

Tee Markers

Here’s a couple of tee markers that we’ve done recently. You’ll start seeing more tee marker posts as we get closer to Opening Day up North..

Tournament Awards

Trying to figure out a way to steer your club away from the same crystal that’s given out every year? RHI trophies are beautifully detailed for an upscale and custom look. Here’s a look at some of the awards that has gone out our door this month.

These two (below) will be given out at the awards dinner at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando this year for the Travis Matthew team. For the smaller award, we used their Mapes logo, which has seen sales success in their industry. Every year they get creative with their design, and it’s fun to see what design direction that they will give next.

Below is the Superintendent’s award for Spanish Oaks.

Meep meep! Here’s the roadrunner award that we did for La Quinta CC.

For the University of Missouri, we created the 6 Mizzou Columns. 

This has to be one of my favorite plaques that we’ve done because of the detail involved in the border. What do you think?

We worked closely with Old Stone for their eagle and mountain awards. No detail was overlooked on these custom awards. You know you have a passionate and amazing golf staff when they help design their trophies.

Now if you can’t part with your crystal, why not incorporate a custom base? That’s what Pete Dye Club did with this inter-club award.

For the Ladies at Legacy Ridge, we used their logo for these plaques. We special ordered raspberry powder coat for this, so if you happen to need raspberry paint on your next project, we have it in-stock (: 

We changed up the awards for Victory Ranch this year. Instead of all snowflake medals, we did these cool awards and custom engraved metals (stayed tuned for photos). 

Driving Range Signs Post

Opening Day is getting closer and closer for the Northern Courses, and we’re starting to see pros getting their orders for range accessories and awards in early. If you need your accessories for opening day, we suggest getting your order reserved in the next couple of weeks. Thanks!

Today’s blog is about driving range accessories. Let’s start with range signs. First, is the hanging range layout sign that we did for Piedmont Driving Club. Then there’s the signs that we refurbished for Circling Raven. If you have a sign from us, we offer a low-cost refurbishing program. Most of our courses don’t need refurbishing until year 6 or longer.

Then there’s the teaching sign for the Troon property, Westin Kierland. It has a movable base for easy moving. 

Last on driving range signage are the clock signs that we did for Schaffer’s Mill and Laurel Creek Golf Course. 

For course signage we did this menu sign for The Powder Horn. 

The strangest things can get stolen, which is what happened to The Madison Club. Their sign went missing, so we made a new one quickly for them. 

It was great working with Parkland G&CC. Here’s a look at how their different products tie in together with a consistent design.  

2017 Teak Line

Here is a look at the RHI Teak Collection in computerized renderings. Above shows how beautiful and classic that the ‘teak’ looks like in real-life.

 

Today’s blog starts with the accessories that we built for the University of Arizona at their home course, Sewailo. They chose from our new line of custom insulated coolers that was our best selling new product of 2016. Next, is a club cleaning station and a divot mix box with a hinged lid. 

For the benches, we used a light colored trex, which is much more comfortable and durable than wood. The logo looks really nice on the panels on this 6′ bench. 

We had a family who worked with us to design a sand & seed box with a memorial poem dedicated to their loved family member. They donated it to their home course here locally; Coeur d’Alene Public Golf Course. This unit holds 14 bottles, and has bottom storage for empty bottles, which is accessible from a backdoor. For more sand and seed options, check out our section under the tab, ‘Driving Range.’ 

PGA West worked with us again for their legends event this month. We made driving range targets and table center pieces drawn from the silhouettes of Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf. 

 

Here’s the driving range sign that we made Boonsborro, the teaching sign A-frame that we made for Carmel Valley Ranch. and a A-frame cart sign that we made for Sun City Grand 

Last, on signage is the clock sign that we made for The Vintage Club.

For perpetual awards built an oil rig trophy for ExonMobile.

We also made a driftwood inspired perpetual trophy. Real driftwood has durability issues through the years, so our client chose a metal ‘driftwood’ instead. 

Lastly for awards, are the individual trophies that we made for Southern Dunes and for University of Oklahoma.

Besides awards, a must-have for tournament supplies is custom proximity markers with your logo and club colors. These greatly increase the speed of play and add another level of professionalism to your events.

Featured Project -COCO BEACH GOLF CLUB

Coco Beach Golf Club (previously Trump International) is an excellent golf facility in PR. It offers two 18 hole golf courses, the Championship and International. The RHI Crew built their new tee signs and directional signs for both of their golf courses, as well as a complete custom range set up. Tee Markers

CUSTOM TEE MARKERS

Northern courses are already getting their tee markers ordered so that they’re that much closer to be ready to an amazing open in Spring 2017.  For the Southern courses, the RHI crew is working hard to deliver your tee markers quickly.

First up is a tee marker built for Nemacolin Woodlands Resort course (Sheperd’s Rock). This type of tee marker is a favorite, and gives a beautiful presentation. This style also gives room for the logo and course name on the back.

For the driving range we have a hanging driving range sign for Piedmont Driving Club. Instead of chain, we are now using carbines to attach the signs to the frame for a more durable experience. driving-range-sign-peidmont

We make 20″x 20″ A-frame range clocks, which give a beautiful and consistent look to your range. The signs are made to last the next 5+ years, and the weather resistent clocks are easy and inexpensive to replace as needed.

Here’s the aluminum A-frame range dividers that the RHI Crew made recently. As you can see, courses can choose from their icon logo or their course name for another branding opportunity.

Next to share is the club cleaning station that we made for Vasari and the ball bucket for The Golf Club at Lansdowne.

Last for the range, is the wine barrel targets for St. James Plantation. They chose to incorporate their club color green into these.

Beautifully detailed trophies

Trying to figure out a way to steer your club away from the same crystal that’s given out every year? How about give them a creative custom trophy that’s not just a trophy, but an art piece?! RHI trophies are beautifully detailed for an upscale and custom look. 1. Hurdzen-Fry Cup terracotta trophies for Naples National. The bases were welded to resemble coral rock, and 26 hours of programming time later, their terracotta urn was programmed… The detail of the urn came out beautifully, and the RHI Crew & Naples National is very happy about how it turned out!terracotta-invitational-trophy-naples-national2. We finalized the details on the Pied Piper trophy with Jonathan’s Landing while Hurricane Matthew was raging and clients were evacuating. Member-dedication doesn’t get much better than that!

pied-piper3. The Gobbler was a fun theme to work with, and actually was the first trophy that our newest designer, Zach ever created. Our crew built an extra for his desk to commemorate this achievement.

the-gobbler-southern-dunes4.  The Cliffs showcased their logo for their couples tournament, and broke from their usual copper vein with cool silver.

couples-trophies-the-cliffs5.  Spanish Peaks‘s perpetual trophy for their inter-club battle. The ‘mountain’ has each of the 3 participating clubs’ logos cut out, and the mountain rotates so that the winning team each year can have their logo in front. That was Reid’s idea (owner of RHI).perpetual-trophy-spanish-peaks6. Lakewood CC had us re-create their 1941 Victory Invitational pamphlet for their perpetual trophy.

Next out-the-door was golf course signage:
  1. The daily informational signs with a chalkboard are a classy way of displaying info that your members need to know.

Here’s 1 of the many directional signs that we did for Kapalua’s courses. The butterfly is their logo and fits just right in Hawaii. directional-signs-for-golf-courses-kapalua

Tee Markers: Discovery’s Chileno Bay chose these hole number markers that are easy-to-read, yet classy.

Southern Dunes got a quick turn-around for replacement tee markers, while VCGA got their brand new tee markers in record time as well!

Brier Creek Project

Brier Creek Country Club in Raleigh, North Carolina chose the color theme of Bronze Hammertone Semi-Gloss for their driving range furniture. and starter’s podium.

They chose to incorporate their pin location sign on their podium, which looks really nice.

Their 20 gal. garbage can enclosure has an ashtray on top and a waste flap. This model also has a back door for easy trash removal.

Their driving range is going to have a professional consistency with their matching bag stands, club cleaning stations, and ball boxes. Notice that they’re utilizing space again for a clean range by having a spot for tees in their ball boxes.

Lastly, for the Brier Creek CC project, we have a driving range sign. It’s about 3.5′ feet and double-sided.

Frenchman’s Reserve Project

As everyone knows, there’s value in presentation. Today’s blog post is to show how to tie in colors and logo for a consistent look.

  • 18-hole, 6,855-yard, par-72 Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course  in South Florida is complete with a driving range, 2 putting greens and a chipping area.

We kept the main color as copper vein, which is a 2 toned warm coppery brown speckled with black. We stayed true to their burgundy/gold/white logo colors.

To begin,  we built a slanted topped starter’s podium with top and back storage.

The upright twisted bag stands have holes drilled for alignment rods. The base has prongs to insert in the ground for extra stability.

Next, are the range dividers and club washers that tie in nice with their bag stands.

On their driving range sign, we did 2 columns of yardage for a wider/shorter look.

For the broken tee boxes & trash can enclosures,  Frenchman’s Reserve chose to skip the logo, but keep the same color theme.

On the golf instruction signs we kept it subtle in size and then went crest only on the back.

The RHI crew went simple/classy on the sand & seed racks.

The crew made a sand box with full logo because we had the room on the unit, and it gave variety to logos among the other items.

Next, is their scorecard box with post and attached pin location sign.  Here’s 2 photos of this piece. I took the box off of the post because I’m not tall enough to take a photo of the top of the box..

On their in-ground yardage markers, we skipped the yardage and went logo only.
